Welcome to The Pickle Patch!

I decided this weekend that I am going to change the name for my blog. I named it Rain Boots Needed years ago, when I tried blogging the first time around. The day I named it, I was wearing my favorite rain boots, the black and pink polka dotted ones. But it's time to update!

Why is named Pickle Patch? First of all,  anyone that knows me, knows that I love pickles. Heck, my good friend Rachel over at Sassy MerMom had her dad make me some pickles for my secret Santa Christmas present. And no, I'm not pregnant. I've always loved them.

Second, have a small crafting business, that I occasionally use. I really need to make time to craft more. I love to make things. I have sold wreaths, bookmarks and tutus. It's just fun and relaxing to me. And earning some money on the side, for something that I love, is fun. It's just easier to have one name for everything. So, here we go!!!!

Spotlight Saturday

I love Dollar Tree. It is my go-to place for party supplies. I threw a bridal shower today for a good friend of mine, and I knew I could get the majority of things I needed to buy, there.  Including the food, I spent  a total of about $115 for the shower at 4 stores. I purposefully bought food that I will eat later on this week. Of that money spent,  $40 was at Dollar Tree. Decorations, prizes for the games, plasticware, tablecloths, game pieces, etc. Dollar Tree just makes it fast and easy. 

Late Night Rambling

I don't even know what I'm going to end up writing.  I'm probably going to delete this later. 

It's 1 am.  I've finished an entire bottle of wine tonight,  so I'm kinda tipsy.  I've been watching 13 Reasons Why, and I'm all up in my feelings.  I just finished episode 11.  Clay's tape. I'm not sure if I can keep watching. 

I was so glad to be done with high school. i graduated in 2004. Almost thirteen years ago.  I had almost no friends in my classes. One of my best friends and I fell apart junior year,  and didn't become friends really again until I was 22. Another friend and I stopped talking,  over a stupid guy,  spring of senior year.  Most of my other friends were in all honors and AP classes, and I wasn't smart  enough  to  be with them.. Or they were younger than me,  so we didn't have classes together.  Or they were at other schools.  I was so lonely. But at the same time, I didn't  want  anybody to notice me. I would sit not in the front row, but not in the back either. I could go for days in my classes, without  saying anything. And nobody  noticed. I just felt invisible. 

I wasn't like Hannah. I wasn't suicidal.  But this show, is much harder for me than the book was.

Not so Wordless Wednesday-Patient Access Week

Wednesdays are supposed  to  be Wordless Wednesday. My post is late this week, and I  feel like it needs some explanation.  This week at work is National Patient  Access Week. It's  been so great  being recognized by our bosses for  the work that we do. I created all of the tags for our gifts, besides the orange. I love crafting, so it was fun to help out.  Our department decided to add to the fun, and also have it be Spirit  Week. I  loved doing Spirit  Week  in school, so I've  had fun this week at work!

I need to start making new things for dinner. We end up eating a few things, week after week. Spaghetti, kielbasa with pierogi, macaroni and cheese and hot dogs. I promise we are both adults, I'm just tired after work and school, and don't feel like cooking! We're trying to save money for a trip for our two year anniversary, so I've been looking on pinterest for some ideas.  Some of these I've had saved forever, others are new. Thai Chicken Salad

James loves anything with mushrooms and onions.  Beef stroganoff has ended up to be a dish I cook every few weeks.

This is one of my all time favorites. The tang of the apple cider vinegar, and the spice of the mustard are so good with the potatoes and kielbasa.
